Ctails works without an account, and then what you put in your bar stays on your device. If you choose to sign in with Google, we keep your name, email address and profile photo so we know it is you, plus a copy of your bar and saved drinks so they follow you between devices. We do not sell data, show ads, or use analytics or tracking cookies.
What stays on your device
Your bottles, mixers, tools, glassware, saved drinks and settings are saved in your browser or phone storage. If you are not signed in, they are not sent to us or anyone else. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it removes them.
Sync, when you are signed in
While you are signed in, the list of what is in your bar (ingredients, tools and glassware), your saved drinks, and your unit and pantry-staple settings are also stored with your account at Supabase, so your other devices can fetch them. Only you can read that copy. Signing out stops syncing; the copy on your device stays.
If you sign in with Google
Signing in is optional. When you do, Google shares your Google account ID, name, email address and profile photo with Ctails, and nothing else: no contacts, files or other Google data. These details are stored by Supabase, the service that runs our sign-in. A sign-in token is kept on your device so you stay signed in until you sign out.
Who we share it with
Only Supabase (account storage and sign-in) and Google (to confirm who you are). Both act on our behalf. We never sell or rent personal data.
Deleting your data
Sign out from the Account screen to remove the sign-in token from your device. To delete your account, the details above and your synced bar, email us and we will remove them within 30 days. You can also remove Ctails's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If we ever start storing more about you, we will update this page before that ships.
