Ingredients

45 ml
Brandy
30 ml
Simple syrup
7 ml
Egg
1 piece
Nutmeg optional

No cocktail shaker? A jam jar with a tight lid works.
No strainer? Hold the ice back with a spoon or small sieve.
No jigger? A tablespoon is 15 ml.
Steps
1. Chill
Chill a coupe with ice water.
2. Add Port (45 ml)
3. Add Brandy (30 ml)
4. Add Simple syrup (7 ml)
5. Add Egg (1)
6. Shake
Dry, without ice, to whip the egg.
7. Shake
Again with ice until very cold.
8. Strain
Into the chilled coupe.
9. Garnish with Nutmeg
Grated on top; no coffee in it, despite the name.
